A Nebraska native who relocated to the desert lifestyle to be closer with family, Georgia graduated in 1994 from the University of Nebraska with a M.S. in Community Counseling, summa cum laude. Her counseling career has led her from Kearney, Nebraska in the 90s to Scottsbluff, Nebraska in the 2000s until settling in her current home of Scottsdale.
Her multidisciplinary career weaves together experiences both in and out of her therapy practice. While in Scottsbluff, Georgia served as the treatment-level supervisor of Reach Out Foster Care, guiding the efforts of foster parents and nurturing the growth of foster children. Through this role, she provided expertise to the Nebraska Supreme Court and Judiciary during the state’s Through the Eyes of a Child foster care system reform program. She has collaborated with the bariatric surgery team at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff to help patients maximize the benefits of such operations through the resolution of underlying factors. She has additionally conducted psychological research and taught college courses on gender and abnormal behavior at her alma mater.
